I was in Dallas over the weekend and went to see the Mavericks beat the Thunder Sunday evening. The Mavs won in surprisingly easy fashion, 105-89 (http://www.espn.com/nba/game?gameId=400900327).

I was pleased to see that Quinn Cook appears to be getting a real shot with the Mavericks and was disappointed to see Kyle Singler wither on the OKC bench. But I was particularly interested in seeing Seth ("Swaggy Swag (http://www.foxsports.com/nba/story/mark-cuban-and-the-mavs-have-a-ridiculous-nickname-for-seth-curry-030617)") Curry. Oh my, does he look improved. Seth scored 22 with a very efficient 10-16 shooting night in 30 minutes (http://www.espn.com/nba/boxscore?gameId=400900327) of action (which surely would have been more had the game been in doubt at any point in the 4th quarter). After short stints with four other NBA teams and two D-League teams over three previous campaigns, for the 2016-2017 season (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/2326307/seth-curry) he has averaged 12.9 PPG on 48.5 percent shooting (43.2 percent from deep; his brother (http://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/3975/stephen-curry) is at 46.3%/39.9% FYI) in Dallas. But since becoming a starter on January 12, he has averaged 17.3 (http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-mavericks/mavericks/2017/03/05/mark-cuban-wants-seth-curry-maverick-forever) PPG and has scored 23.6 PPG (http://sportsday.dallasnews.com/dallas-mavericks/mavericks/2017/03/05/mark-cuban-wants-seth-curry-maverick-forever) in the six games since the All-Star break. His play has been so good that Mavs' owner Mark Cuban now says he wants Seth to be a Maverick "forever." Here's what he says (http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/03/06/mark-cuban-wants-mavericks-to-keep-seth-curry-forever/).

“We want him to be forever. He’s our kind of guy. Shoots, plays hard defensively. …High swag level, low volume level, those kind of guys are good. Swaggy Swag’s a keeper.”

There's more (http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/03/06/mark-cuban-wants-mavericks-to-keep-seth-curry-forever/).

“It’s just, he’s not afraid of the moments, he has fun with it and he’s a good guy about it. He’s not, ‘Look at me.' To me, the more of a show you put on when you do something, the less swag you have. It’s like swag isn’t how you dress, it’s being able to tell other people how to dress. And with Seth, it’s the same way. He doesn’t tell you, he just scoreboards you. And to me that’s the ultimate swag.”

Great work, Seth. We're cheering for you.

When you shoot 31% last year from deep and 23% this year from deep, you aren't getting any minutes. Singler doesn't add much value to OKC, unfortunately.

I'm proud of our Seth. That young man knows the definition of "hanging in there," but I am pleased Cuban didn't nickname him Swaggy McSwag. Doesn't have nearly the cachet of Swaggy Swag.

Cookie McCook had another good night with 10 pts. I hope Cuban continues to see his value.
