Played with the heart of a (5th year) senior champion tonight! Not every player these days is fine with not being a star and doing all the little things that help a team win!

Thanks Amile. 4+ years of blood, sweat and tears. You were great.

Separately: does anyone have any info on his dad? I don't remember seeing him in Cameron before.

Incredible effort tonight by Amile. Particularly in the first half. I'm not sure defense can be played better than that. So proud to have him as part of the Duke family...

I will really, really miss Amile Jefferson. I am sad for him that he did not get to play this last season in full health, but grateful for Duke fans that he has given everything he could. His smart play and crafty moves in the post have been a pleasure to watch, and his fire and leadership on the court have been inspiring. That he managed to give all he did to the program while also being a four-time (!) ACC All-Academic team member is tremendously impressive. And his enthusiasm for the game, his team, and Duke University is wonderful.

Very best wishes to you, Amile, and thanks for everything. But first--let's play a lot more games!
