Not sure whether this is EK material, but former UNC/Holy Cross BB player Neil Fingleton passed away at 36 (!) yesterday. (If this was already posted, apologies - didn't see it.)

At 7'7" he held the record for the tallest British born man.

Many knew him from his roles in GoT, X Men and the Avengers.

RIP, Mr. Fingleton.

The death of a former ACC player is definitely Main Forum material. I'm linking a Chronicle (UK) article (http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/durham-game-thrones-star-uks-12659237) reporting on the death of this man from Durham (UK).

If these celebrity deaths happen in threes, Neil Fingleton is riding an elevator with Bill Paxton and Joseph Wapner right now.

For some reason I've never forgotten seeing him at the Carolina game in 2001 (an unfortunate game) during my freshman year. I have a very distinct the memory of seeing him standing on the outside of a team huddle during warmups and just towering over everyone else. And of course loved him as Mag in Game of Thrones. Definitely RIP.

Rest eternal grant to him, O Lord:
And let light perpetual shine upon him.
May his soul, and the souls of all the departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

Rest in peace. He was pretty functional for a person that tall, but life expectancy isn't very good for those over seven foot five.
