Blue Devils up 8-1 early in the 2Q.
Really balanced offense today — 8 different scorers on the board for Duke. Getting great opportunities in transition.

St. Joe's is supposed to be pretty good (first in the NEC pre-season poll), but Duke is making them look pretty ordinary. Van Raaphorst and Giles-Harris owning their matchups. Ground balls are 19-7, leading to transition opportunities, and Duke is shooting lights-out (12-23). On the downside: Seau not dressed.

Only one goal scored in the 3rd.
Both coaches extending the bench a bit in the second half given the score disparity.
This is a great game to get the younger guys on the team some quality playing time. Could pay dividends given that we have back-to-back matchups against ranked teams next up on the schedule.

Meanwhile, up the road a piece, Hop is making a statement. They lead Carollina 13-5 with a minute to go.

Our best offensive outing of the season this week — sharp ball movement and great shot placement. Also a good opportunity to get some younger players some burn.
Holding any Division I team to 3 goals is impressive.
Next up on the schedule is a visit to 14th-ranked Richmond which should be a good test early in the season.

Music to my ears.

How often does the ACC go 1-3 in non-conference games? Army beats Cuse and Penn beats UVa, both by one goal.

Crazy ending to the Cuse-Army tilt. David Symmes scores the game-winner with half a second remaining in regulation (https://twitter.com/danaburn2423/status/835569436987883520).
