5-way tie at 13-5 would add a lot of regular season titles to the ACC ledger. I'd take it.

No, that would allow cheaters to hang another banner. Very simple. Have the cheaters beat the pimps and then lose to the Hoos, and we run the table.

I think the above post belongs in the DBR hall of fame. Cheaters, pimps and Hoos, wasn't that a Cher song?

But they are going to have a lot of empty space in the Dean Dome soon that they will need to fill.

When? I keep hearing all this dire talk about this UNC mess, but when?

So of the top 3 teams, whoever runs the table gets the #1 seed in the Tourney right?

Yes, unless Louisville and Duke both run the table, in which case Louisville would get the tiebreaker and the top seed.

Just win, baby. Make 7 in a row 11 in a row. It's not going to be easy, but Duke has the best talent in the country. They have beaten Notre Dame, North Carolina and Virginia in the last two weeks. I don't think anyone in the country wants to play this Duke team.

Shouldn't that have been Cheaters, pimps & HOs(Louisville with both names)? GoDuke!

Despite the loss last night things still could get interesting. Obviously Duke needs to win out but they also need UNC and Louisville to lose another game before the March 4 match up. UNC has Pitt and UVA on the road and both teams are certainly capable of winning. Louisville has Syracuse at home, Wake on the road, and Notre Dame at home. A few things have to fall into place but a chance at winning the ACC regular season is still there.

If a 5-loss team comes in first, that'll be the first time in the 18-game conference schedule era:

2016: UNC 14-4
2015: UVA 16-2
2014: UVA 16-2
2013: Miami 15-3

So we're already in the midst of K's longest ACC regular-season crown drought:

2011-2016: 6 years (and possibly counting)
1981-1985: 5 years
1986-1990: 4 years
2007-2009: 3 years

Yeah, although there are nearly twice as many teams in the league now as their were for most of his tenure (and more than 2x increase in reliable competition at the top). So not really apples to apples.

We cannot forget scheduling. The last few years it was Virginia with a soft schedule, now it's UNC. It's no surprise UNC is winning this league if you only play two of the top 6-7 teams on the road.
