as highlighted in the 'cast, the lack of development by Chase Jeter is especially glaring with Amile out. Alongside Amile, Chase played pretty well in a complementary role. W/o Amile he's nearly useless. Unfortunately, so is Bolden. Giles' defense is nearly non-existent, but he rebounds at a pretty good clip and can put the sphere thru the hole, which none of our other post options are doing.
None of those things need be permanent, even if Amile misses the rest of the year (which i am not suggesting that he will). Giles will probably get the most chances, and will likely understand his role on defense somewhat better, if not much better. As his timing improves i expect that several of those fancy post moves he's been using will start paying off as opposed to looking like wildly hopeless shots. I'm hoping that Bolden's struggles are related to his injury, and that he hasn't fully recovered yet. He looks worse this year than Chase did last year, but if he can figure a few things out he might be able to give us 5&5, which would be a huge boost.
Chase is kinduva mystery to me, he's playing as well as he can but i just don't see how much better he can be. Someone mentioned Casey Sanders as a comparison to Chase, which is looking more and more apt: a guy who has plenty of physical tools to excel but just never gets there due to j'ne cest quoi, nem sei o que e'. If Chase can replicate Casey's numbers by his Sr. year, that'd be solid.

Glad other agree with us about the slow and halting development of our young bigs. We talk about this extensively on the pod. But, as many have noted, there is still plenty of time for them to come around and, as Donald points out on the pod, getting Amile the communicator back will likely solve many of the problems.
