For a prize, I would be ecstactic if someone could remove this cigar from outta my mouth. In the very very slight chance that I should win, please don't ask me to give any speeches. I'm kinda shy in front of crowds.

Here are my guesses based on my own scientific method(s). ;)

How many runs total will be scored in the 2007 World Series? 32

How many hits total in the final game of the World Series? 7

Gametime temperature of last game at first pitch (official source will be Weather Channel) 56

The tough part is total runs because a guess that works for a 4 game series is screwed in a 6 or 7 game series.

Runs- 37 (I think this total is legit for 5 or 6 or maybe even 7 game series)
Hits in final game- 15
Gametime temp- 53 (works so long as the game is not in Arizona)

Total runs - 49
Hits in last game - 18
Temperature at game time - 53 degrees

For the record, I'm basing my entry on a Sox win over the Rockies in 6. Go Sox!

Hey hurleyfor3, look at me, I'm Bobby Hurley! (for a little while at any rate.)

My, that was fast. The winner of this "off-beat" contest, along with 2nd and 3rd place finishers will be announced today.

Official results to come, but it looks as though Jason Evans has won this contest.

Total Runs in Series: 39

Jason was the closest without going over: 37.

Also, though it proved to be irrelevant, Jason also came the closest to picking the total amount of hits in the final game. He guessed 15. The correct answer was 16.

2nd Place: Tie between DukeMomLa and FewFAC (34) - Will determine order of finish with tiebreaker in a bit.

CONGRATS JASON! Try to restrain yourself in celebrating this achievement!
