Seth Curry shot 1-8 for the game, and he plays for the Mavs too, so let's not get too full of schadenfreude.
Seth never gave himself a nickname nor did he have a 5 year Skype announcement. AND Seth worked his tail off to make the league when few thought he had a shot (ba-dunh tching! I'll be here all week!!!!). So there are some differences, but celebrating in the failure of another has a way of coming back and biting you in the tail.

I am a firm believer in the consolidation of threads, but if Billy Packer engages in fisticuffs at any location, that deserves its own headline and attention. Other announcer-related hypotheticals that require a unique thread:

Yup, nice zinger. Hey I'd love to put up 31 points in an NBA opener. I'd also love to hit the game winning 3 to close out an NBA title. One of those more than the other. 31 points is great but all the self-promotion only makes Barnes' stinker of a finals more notable. And then he was traded by the LOSING team. Think maybe they were trying to clean up the stink just a bit? But but but, 31 points is really great. SOAR Pidgeon SOAR!!
