I am very confused by this since the ACC just announced new locations (http://pittnews.com/article/111811/sports/acc-announces-new-locations-championship-games/) for several other championships that were originally scheduled to be in North Carolina. Is lacrosse still considered too small-time a sport to count, given that there are only 5 men's lacrosse teams in the conference? Or does it make a difference that it is an on-campus site at a private university?

So, the ACC doesn't qualify for an AQ this season? I assume this is due to the loss of MD, is there any hope of getting one of the other league members to step up to D1 to get the ACC back to the magic number?

Although your link didn't show it, I think the ACC was only moving neutral site events, not championships played on ACC campuses.
