Trying to assemble autographed photos of old (50s-60s) Duke basketball players.
Anyone know where I can find online photos of some of the players for those teams?
Thanks

Devil in the Blue Dress has a treasure trove IIRC.

I've had luck on Ebay and been able to get Steve Vacendak, Dick Groat, Kenny Dennard and others. I may have saved unsigned copies. Maybe we could trade.

Here is a photo of the late great Art Heyman, Jeff Mullins and Coach Vic Bubas 3rd place team in the NCAA.

...

Old = players now in their 50s - 60s?

Or ...

Old = players who PLAYED in the 50s - 60s?

I know, a player who played in the late 60s would likely be in the late 60s, but ... old folks can be sensitive. We may not hear well, but we have feelings.

If you go to Google image search, type in "art heyman duke" and "vic bubas duke" and "dick groat duke" and you'll have a nice collection to start with.

Back in the day, when photogs were still using flash powder, Grossbus was the premier photographer on campus. He probably has a lot of great pictures.

Some might be mixed in with the Civil War tintypes

Jack Marin works out at my gym. Would you like me to ask him to pose?

Not a Duke basketball player, but here's a photo I found of Thon Maker, circa 1967:

I think the key part was "autographed".

And digital was fine.

There is a 1964 Duke UCLA photo on EBay now showing Buzzy Harrison. He has signed for me.

Heyman, Mullins, Buckley, Harrison, Ferguson, Herbster, Tison, Kitching, Marin, Riedy, Verga, and some color shots from Artie's last game in Cameron.

also have some shots of super heckler doug hinds (the first Crazy?) and UCLA cheerleaders from the 64 title game. the hairstyles are true Mad Men.

DBR has used a few of them

Does anyone know John Frye's current address? Would love to get him to sign the Duke game program he was on featuring the 1960 ACC champions?

Duke yearbooks are online. You could get photos from them. https://library.duke.edu/rubenstein/uarchives/collections-guides/digitized/chanticleer
