Have I picked up some virus or is everybody getting the porn ads all over this site? It appears to be our sponsors. I have t slide the screen way over to the side to get this junk out of my face. The old professor's blood pressure won't survive this, bless his heart. This stuff is X rated.

Are they popups or are the offensive ads in place of the banner ads that appear on the site? Can you describe what is happening a little bit more so the mods and the folks behind the site can investigate.

At this moment, the regular banner ads are on the top (Carmax) and along the side (an ad for playing a word game about chickens or something for free). All seems normal. But, most of the time really awful porn ads take their exact places and flash and girate. I don't recognize any of them as Crystal Mangum, but this stuff you really don't want your kids to see. Babes doing pretty sickening stuff. They jump at me as soon as I sign on. For some reason all seems stable while I'm composing a message. But, I bet as soon as I post and go back to the main site, it will start up again.

If nobody else is getting these I guess I'd better call in a geek because something or other has evaded my blockers.

Let me know if you find out anything. Right now I gotta go get ready to go over to Wally Wade and help the guys get past the Deacs.

Sounds like some sort of spyware. Make sure your antivirus is up to date, and try spybot - it works pretty well.

My old boss once got one like that. Every time she closed one porn window, two more opened up!

Yep, when I went back to the Main Board, an ad for "intimate dating" showed up along the side. Then when I went back to the home page, all hell broke loose again.

Thanks, Julio. I'll check my spam for your message. Many of you have been eager to be really helpful. (And some of you guys have been just plain eager! ;-) )Symantec is telling me now that it is blocking stuff and things have settled down on their own. I have a call into my geek, but doubt I'll hear back until the first of the week.
