0? 0? Has that ever been a number at Duke before?

Thank you. Now I remember.

I like the 0 and 1 together. Coupled with a 3 and a 21, it creates a lovely set of numbers. Not sure what is the best-looking number next to those four, but I suspect we'll debate that shortly :D

That's funny. I prefer 7 and then 11 in an endless rotation. We must play different games.... :D:cool:

I don't see any Plumlees. I was promised a constant supply of Plumlees!

After that 2012 game in Chapel Hill, the 0 on a Duke jersey is pronounced "hero".

My favorite set of all time is the pre-NCAA starters on the 2014-15 National Championship team, before Matt Jones joined the starting lineup:

5 - Jones
2 - Cook
12 - Winslow
21 - Jefferson
15 - Okafor

Only three total digits used. I keep my own boxscores and i always though this grouping was so tight and ascetically pleasing when I would write them down before games.

When it comes to the rotation, a little adventuresomeness will get the juices flowing. Go with 00 .

Irving wore #1 as a freshman, although not nearly often enough for Duke fans. If Kyrie had returned for his sophomore year, he would've teamed up with Austin subzero Rivers to form an unstoppable zero, one punch. Perhaps that unsoppable combination will finally happen next year.

This is weird and awesome.

This was true of our starting lineup in 2011, too:

1 - Irving
2 - Smith
12 - Singler
5 - Plumlee
21 - Plumlee

We almost did it in just two digits but for Mason.

Good job Mason. Always ruining the party!

We still have integers? I thought they were all on the ceiling.

With 11 and 22 retired, nothing left open for Mason.

With the jersey numbers retired, isn't 1,5,15,51,55 the only way that works? If so, can't blame Mason, he and Irving did their part.

I'm pretty sure the NCAA only allows either 0 or 00 on a team, but not both.

I defer to Wikipedia.

What's the penalty if you have both, a couple of post season bans and loss of a scholarship?

Yeah, 'cause scoreboard programmers can't seem to figure out that you don't do math with jersey numbers; they're letters...

Or a Bobby and a Jason don't make a Grant...

If not for the one and done era, this might have become a serious problem.

Introducing your Duke Blue Devils!

At power forward, a 6'10" freshman from Winston-Salem NC, #π . . . Harry Giles!

Isn't #π the number of Sean May and Kennedy Meeks?

My mistake, that's #pie...

May his career be as great as that of Gene Banks! And his teams exceed those of Banks'! Especially 1978's result!
