Hi all,

I am taking my nephew to Coach K camp in June. We've been there to visit for 2-3 days at a time, so we know our favorite places to eat, shop and visit. Any suggestions on overnight stay options? That's a long time to stay in a hotel while sharing 1 bathroom and 1 TV with a 9-year-old and my wife, so we're looking for a place with at least 2 of each! Airbnb has some options, but not much. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

We've had good luck with Homewood Suites. They have one at 15-501/I-40, another in RTP. Rates vary significantly by seasonal/weekly demand.

No personal experience at this property but we've got a Marriott Visa card and have been pretty happy with many of the different types of Marriott properties at which we've stayed over the last 10-15 years. And yes, that card # is 1234 9F9F 5678 9F9F 0000 9F9F. Expiration date: 9F never expires.

Thank you for your suggestions. I will look into it this weekend. If anyone else has any suggestions, be it a hotel or short-term Airbnb type rental, it is appreciated.

Go Duke!

Residence inn by Marriott is always a great option. They should have 2 bedroom/ 2 bath suites. They come with kitchenettes also, so you can save on meals and have snacks and such in the room.

I did look, and there is a location in Durham:

1108 W Main St, Durham, NC 27701

When traveling with family to Duke, we always stay at SpringHill Suites, a couple of blocks off of 15-501. The kids love Kanki, the Japanese steak house up at the corner of Mt. Moriah and 15-501.

I'm taking my two grandsons, both 11 years old to the second session this year. Does anybody by chance know the daily hours that the camp is in session?

According to the camp page, Day 1 has check-in from 10:30am-1:30pm. For day campers like my nephew, it also says to arrive at Cameron between 8-8:15am each day and be ready for pick-up around 8:30pm.

It is effectively 9 to 9 with breaks for lunch and dinner. Folks can sit in Cameron and watch Coach K and others give their morning talks to the campers and watch the games in the afternoon and evening.

When I was up there in December I stayed at the Millennium Hotel on Campus Walk. Reasonable prices and really convenient to everything, it was also reasonably priced.
