Always fun to get the perspective from the other side:

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2629012-inches-from-immortality-how-gordon-hayward-butler-almost-toppled-duke

All those slow motion replays just emphasize to me that Singler got fouled--clobbered really--on the screen. Howard was moving.

Anyway, fun video and pretty even-handed. Plus Zoubs!

Still makes me nervous how close that shot came to going in..

Brad Stevens was on Dan Patrick a few weeks ago and when asked a question about that shot, Stevens himself said in reference to Howard's screen, "...that's been argued if that was a foul or not".

Stevens knows it was a moving screen...... But the shot didn't go. So it's all moot and Cameron got its 4th banner hung up. I'll be checking out this article later, I have a lot f respect for that Butler team.

Really well done video. Man, Brad Stevens is awesome.

I was at the that game and you could just feel the tension in the air the entire second half.

The semi-final game against WVU was a fantastic experience. Not only because Duke won by twenty either. I had a quite intoxicated West Virginia fan (shocking, I know) in my row who kept yelling "Zoubek?! We're gonna let #@*!$*% Zoubek beat us?" I'll never forget that. :)

I saw an interview with the head of Officials for the NCAA a couple of years ago. It was really good. He stated that had that shot gone in, he would have forever been haunted by the no call on the Singler screen. He felt it should have been whistled and called right there on the spot before Hayward even released his shot. He said it was absolutely a foul, hands down, no debate.

Funny... when Zoubx first was on camera, my first glance was Bob Huggins?!?!?!? Especially since I don't care for Huggins at all...

Not a huge fan of the fact that A) It's bleacher report and B) The context of the video is "Butler almost beat evil Duke" and not "what an amazing performance by a veteran, hard-working Duke team". But this is a pretty awesome video going through the last minutes of that game... and as a bonus, I get to see how the ZouBeard is fairing nowadays!

Ahh shoot... it wasn't on the front page this morning and I guess I missed it yesterday, so I assumed it hadn't been posted yet. My bad! If this thread needs to be moved/shut down/etc. please do what's necessary!

It would've been a great block in a football game.

Yowzah! Although I sort of see what you mean, that is a most unflattering comparison for Zoubs....time for new eyeglasses? :)

Ahh... what a game.

I still don't believe that K told Zoubek to miss. That's actually the 1st time I heard K say the words. I mean I believe he did it... but I can't believe he would do it.

The screen on Singler... boy... what a missed call. That would have stung (it probably did still sting for Kyle!).

For all the underdog talk... David vs. Goliath. How often does David have the best player on the court? That was a damn good team.

According to Jon Stewart, it wasn't David vs. Goliath.... it was David vs. Daaaaaayvid

it was instant karma for the moving block.....had he not clipped singler, the shot would have gone in...

We used to call those "crack back blocks" on punt returns in High School football. Blindside a defender chasing the punt returner, who never sees you coming. That's the exact thing I thought of when I saw it clearly on replay that night. Man, Singler got hammered. Tough dude.
