Just read that Thad has signed a contract with the 49er's. Congrats! I guess Chip Kelly saw something he liked when he had Thad in Philly for a bit with him.

Can't tell if there is guaranteed money (or, how much guaranteed money). Interesting though that QB Colin Kaepernick will apparently be requesting a trade.

Well, Kaep had already lost the QB job to Blaine Gabbert. I'm not sure that Lewis' signing has much to do with Kaep's situation. Or, perhaps more accurately, Lewis' acquisition may be a result of plans to trade the disgruntled Kaep, rather than a cause of Kaep's trade request.
