Duke trails defending national champion Denver, 5-4, at the half.

The Pioneers opened the game with a 3-0 run over eight minutes, but Duke has bounced back. Myles Jones has a pair. Duke has mostly done a good job of keeping the lethal Denver offense in check. Ethan Powley, in particular, had a great first half against Connor Cannizaro.

Kyle Rowe is 6-11 on faceoffs against Denver's Trevor Baptiste. If either FOGO can get on a second-half roll, that could swing the game.

Duke's attack is MIA.

End Q3: Denver9, Duke 7. Cannizaro finally got untracked late in Q3 with consecutive goals to break a 7-7 tie.

Duke attack still shooting blanks.

Right on cue, the Duke attack arrives. Goals from Bruckner and Matheis to tie it early in Q4.

This is crazy fun. Teams trade three-goal runs. 12-12 with six minutes to go.

Duke getting contributions from all over the roster. Huge GB by David Gill, and a FO win from Rowland Petit.

Inside Lacrosse reporting 14-12 Denver in 4th, doesn't say how much time left.

FT: Denver 14-12 Duke

Heck of a game, except for the outcome. Freshman goaltender Alex Ready with two obscene point-blank stops in the last two minutes for Denver.

Next play.
