How does the ACC tourney work this year?? Esp without Louisville.? Thanks
1-4 get a bye? And the rest are seeded 5-14 or what? (14 bc no Louisville)
this looks to be right though it still has Louisville in there as 15 teams.. so, if this is right, how do they adjust for losing Louisville?

It will, essentially, work the same way as last year, when Syracuse did not play in the tournament.
Four games the first day between teams 11-14; winners play the second day along with teams 5-10 in 4 games; winners play the third day against teams 1-4, and then semis and the final. Although I could not find an "official" bracket on this; Wikipedia says (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016_ACC_Men%27s_Basketball_Tournament) this is what will happen and it sounds right to me.

Yup. Seeds 1-4 get a double bye. For them, the tournament will be your typical 8-team format. For a 1-4 seed, you would have to win 3 games in 3 days to win it.
Seeds 5-10 get a bye. They would have to play their way into the 8-team bracket. For a 5-10 seed to win it, they will have to win 4 games in 4 days. First against an 11-14 seed, then 3 in the regular bracket.
Seeds 11-14 get no relief. They have to win 5 games in 5 days. First against another 11-14 seed, then against a 5-10 seed, then 3 in the regular bracket.

One correction. Two games on Tuesday, 11-14 and 12-13. Then those two winners with 5-10 play four games on Wednesday.

Thank you - I was trying to figure out how they got 4 games out of 11-14. Glad to know I can still count and add. (Starts to get questionable this time of year.) :D

Just the ACC trying to get an extra win or 2 for teams on the bubble.
