The ACC Home Opener is tomorrow against the Hokies. Vegas has Duke as a 17.5 points favorite. Discuss the game here.

For the Rocky Mountain fans, the DirecTV guide shows Va. Tech @ Duke on Channel 20 in Denver at 10 AM Saturday. That gets a big "hooray!" from me.

Time Warner in southwest Ohio shows the game being carried on Channel 781.

There's an earlier thread with information on finding the TV broadcast here (http://forums.dukebasketballreport.com/forums/showthread.php?37166). While my CW affiliate carries the game, I wanted to point out that my AT&T U-Verse system guide does not currently list the game on any of the ESPN College Extra channels.

This team just beat #4 Virginia so will be no cake walk. Be interesting to see what coach K has planned for them.

Yep, also the team that gave last season's national champs a heck of a scare in Blacksburg.

I'm hoping MP3 can defend the bucket better than a hobbled (at the time) Okafor. Hokies will be trying to drive us all game long if last year is any indication.

Ok, who's going to start the wagering?

I'm down $1K from the WFU game so I'll have to ponder this one over an ale or two this evening. ;)

Before laying down your wager, everyone should take into consideration my presence inside Cameron Indoor Stadium tomorrow afternoon. The last game I attended was the loss to Mercer at PNC Arena.

This one'll be at CIS. Hopefully you're good luck there:eek:.

I'm taking Duke -17 1/2. The Crazies are worth more than that. I'm at $4,500 so I'm betting $1,000. Go Duke !!

I'm down $1K so I'm in for $1K (two reasons: it's JE's money and I never tire of typing 1K ;)) and I'll take the turkeys and the 17.5 points.

I'm up 1K after Wake, but 17.5 is too big a spread. K will start subbing when it gets to 20 with 5 left, so I'll go 500 on the gobbler (much as it pains me to do so

I like the way you guys are handling the bets.

I'm at $5K still. Sat out Wake and will sit out VaTech. Might dip my toe in the water starting with Clemson.

The team is having a terrific game to the half, but Thornton is making a lot of mistakes and is not finishing well at the basket. He has the quickness and handle so I certainly hope the experience will allow his game to grow from where it is now.

At Cameron. They introduced someone famous who was "taking a well deserved day off". Couldn't tell who it was. Anyone know?

The good: Ingram is looking every bit like a high lottery pick

The bad: Thorton seems to be having one of his "have to remember this kid should still be playing high school right now" halves

Unexpected #1: These guys just beat UVA? What??

Unexpected, but shouldn't be because it's been happening for a while: Is there a big man better at utilizing the space between the backboard and the end line than Plumlee? He moves so well back there and seems to be getting multiple dunks a game from being open there and jumping back up to the rim from being almost out of bounds. It's awesome.

Grant Hill is there. They showed him earlier. Not sure that is who, but I'm watching on the laptop with the sound off, so that's my only guess. Any Panthers there enjoying their playoff bye, maybe?

I learned this week that Riverboat Ron and I share a birthday.

Maybe someone got him tickets?

Time for Thornton to think about his game from the bench.

Why the criticism of Thornton? The kid had six assists in the first half alone. Everything else will come, sooner rather than later. He's doing what he's supposed to be doing - distributing the ball effectively.

Agreed – and I'd rather him play through it when we have a comfortable 20+ point lead than against UNC, Virginia, or Miami.

Geez, why can't Grayson learn to shoot free throws like Marshall.
