Who was Duke's Man of the Match in their 74-63 loss to Kentucky?

MP3 outscored Grayson and Brandon, combined. And it wasn't just his unexpected offense, he was solid throughout.
Amile was terrific too.
Marshall earned it.

Why isn't Amile Plumlee an option?

Or Marshall Jones?

It's tough deciding this one.

It's easily Marshals best ever game!
There is your answer.

My head wanted to pick Amile, but my heart said MP3. This team needs toughness, and they've both got it in spades.

Marshall putting it on the floor and driving the lane tipped the scales though. Throw it awkwardly off the backboard for a put back by Amile, big man!

MP3. Probably his career best game.

Marshall set the tone early.

I won't say that the tone was followed by all, but he set the tone early.

You can call me crazy for this one, but we already knew that Amile and Marshall are tough as nails, they just got to be tough more than usual tonight. We already knew that Matt Jones can nail a three. I didn't know that Derryck Thornton could earn almost 30 minutes out on the floor against a team like that. The box score may not look great with 3 assist to 4 turnover to go along with 7 points on 7 field goals and 3 rebounds, but I think that game was a step towards him earning the starting point guard spot, which I think would help the team reach its true ceiling, which is thankfully higher than it was tonight.

P.S. - I fully know that Plumile Marshallson is the true answer but wanted to be that guy and spread the love on a night when there isn't much to spread.

Thornton may get the starting job, but based on what I saw, it's not because of anything he did to earn it.

Amile was great again, but I keep thinking how awful this entire game would have been without MP3 keeping us in it the first five minutes of the game.

Amile was great again, but I keep thinking how awful this entire game would have been without MP3 keeping us in it the first five minutes of the game.We lose by 20....possibly 30 if both Amile and MP3 don't carry the team. Not only did they score, but they combined for 25 rebounds. Rebounding is something that worries me about this team. If Amile or MP3 have an off night, are we just totally screwed on the boards? Ingram is tall for a 2/3, but he looks like he might be ~175lbs. It would be nice to have that 3rd option which can get you 5-6 rpg...Winslow/Gerald/Nelson/Singler, etc.

It was a coin flip between Amile and MP3, but Marshall's 6 blocks put him over the top for me.
