If there is a time where Next Play really applies it is right now.

Duke did pick up a loss because of gross incompetence from the officials who have been officially reprimanded.

Duke still has control of their fate. Four wins and they are in the ACC Championship. (This has been pointed out before by others so nothing new here just needs restating.)

The next game is against UNC. The bad feelings about the Miami game need to be channeled AGAINST UNC. It would really be bad if the "we should have won" mentality results in a second loss but this would be especially bad if the loss was to UNC!!!

I know that Cutcliffe will get the team moving forward.

It may be too soon for most but sometime in the next day or two we as fans also need to move forward, because it is GTHC week!!!

Fate, by definition, is beyond one's control. We do not control our fate or our destiny.

It will be difficult to move on from the Miami game, especially when DBR front page article about moving on is full of links about the Miami game.

As hard as it is to let it go, the focus needs to be on the next game. Let's get ready to kick some tar heel butt.

We simply win out and we'll be in Charlotte anyway. Let's put this one behind us and win the next play.

Anger over what maybe should have been, should NOT be carried over or channeled into this week's effort.
That is a lack of focus that this team cannot afford to have.
Beat the holes because they are holes and the next opponent. Not just simply because they suck, have always sucked and always will suck.
(That's a lot of sucking, folks!)

Not that our Blue Devils need any additional inspiration, particularly for the week of the 9F game, but now Duke can play with the double amount of P&V flowing through their veins against the CHeaters. There is the matter of last year's performance debacle and guest locker room incident to address this year on the field. And, now Duke has their back against the wall after getting jobbed by an entire officiating crew in the Miami game last week. Duke needs to win out to get to where they want to go as a team. It's time for the team leaders to step up, seize the attention of the younger players and focus them in on how to prepare for the intensity of these next four games, and the post-season that will follow. These critical wins are the ones that separate Duke teams of the past who couldn't quite get over the hump, from the Duke teams that fans are dreaming of for years to come under Coach Cut...capable of stepping up in crunch time and getting the tough wins, in the biggest games, with the brightest lights! LET'S GO DUKE!!!
