A few of my buddies and I were discussing all-time best Duke teams and all-time favorite Duke players. We thought it would be fun to do a mock draft of Coach K era players to see who could pick the best fantasy Duke team (5 starters and 2 subs). We wanted to get your thoughts on which person drafted the best. The only rules were they had to be a player that played for Coach K at Duke

Starters: Irving, Langdon, Deng, Laettner, Zoubek
Bench: Wojo, Hood

Team 2
Starters: T. Jones, Dawkins, Singler, Plumlee, Brand
Bench: Carawell, Amaker

Team 3
Starters: J Williams, N. Smith, Parker, Kelly, Okafor
Bench: N. James, McCaffrey

Team 4
Starters: Scheyer, Redick, G. Hill, Boozer, Zoubek
Bench: J. Capel, T. Hill

Team 5
Starters: Duhon, C. Collins, Maggette, Alarie, S. Williams
Bench: Dunleavy, Q. Cook

Team 6
Starters:Hurley, D. Jones, Battier, Ferry, Parks
Bench: Winslow, Rivers

It's hard to evaluate without knowing the ground rules. Are we talking best season or career? Just Duke or does post-Duke factor in? Imaginary seasons in which Irving is healthy for more than 11 games?

That's Team 2.

I had similar thoughts on Team 5. I would start Dunleavy over Collins, Maggette or Alarie.

I am surprised that Roshown McLeod was not drafted ahead of Wojo, Capel, Collins, Alarie, and James.

I also need to know which team Zoubek is really on to give my final opinion. As Jim noted, ground rules would be helpful as well. I think it's a really cool game though!
