From the Chronicle (http://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2015/10/delta-expanding-partnership-with-duke-presence-on-campus):

Examples of Delta’s increased advertising presence on campus will include sponsoring campus events, bringing in academic speakers and offering internships. The airline is also continuing its collaboration with Duke Athletics—such as sponsoring Countdown to Craziness and naming the third level of Wallace Wade Stadium’s new Blue Devil Tower the “Delta Suite Level.”

Ick. Is this on the page at the same time as the Nike partnership?

Welcome to college athletics in the current age

What is that a photo of, exactly?

Duke distributed mini banners while exiting Countdown to Craziness.

I realize money now rules the roost in college sports, but this type of "sponsorship" does NOT leave a good taste in my mouth. (However, do Duke grads now get free tickets on Delta? I'm completely in favor of that !!)

No offense, but that goofy trinket would go straight into the trash, if it made it into my hands in the first place.

Or at least free admission to the Crown Room to wait out flight delays or when you miss your connecting flight through Hartsfield

If I can turn my Skymiles into tickets, I can get behind this.

Happily hung that 'goofy trinket' in my cube today (with all the other Duke basketball trinkets) and it looks great. Anytime we win a national championship, I'll gladly take a mini-banner to put up by my desk (even if it does have some sponsorship on it). Hope I get a 2016 goofy trinket just like it at CTC next year!
