I have gotten tickets for my teenage son and I (we are both crazy Duke fans) to attend our first game at Cameron.
We will be attending the December 28th game vs Elon, our tickets are in section 17.
We know nothing about any of the process, what time the doors open, how early do we need to get in line to get a decent seat,(even though I know we won't be sitting) parking, Other things to do while in the area as we are driving 15 hours to get there.
Any help, tips, suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

We are both really pumped for this!!!

Thanks for you help!

Hope you and your son have a great experience with memories to last a lifetime. And 15 hours? Where are you coming from?

Here is a link to game day info on Duke Basketball, I hope it helps: http://www.goduke.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=4200&ATCLID=210246885

I don't know if you've thought about lodging, but the Washington Duke Inn, while pricey, is a short walk to Cameron, making parking moot.

Travel safe! & Go Duke!

Enjoy. The game, and I second the Washington Duke if pricing permits. Relatively short walk.

The students will be on break so the routine may be a bit different than usual. Not sure what restaurants on campus are open.

The DBR Visitors Bureau (http://forums.dukebasketballreport.com/forums/misc.php?do=page&template=DBRVisit) has some ideas, too.

Should not be much of anything open on campus as students are away. Thomas Center may be cheaper than Wa Duke but there are a few places close to campus near the Med center (ie you can walk through the hospitals to get to main campus) that are likely much cheaper and pretty nice. Erwin road has a lot of options these days for food.

Will check out the Washington Duke (would be nice to just walk to the game and not have to hassle with parking).
Coming from Naperville IL. (Near Chicago)
Thanks for the replies! Keep them coming.
