Bravo Nolan. Very well done.

That man must have graduated from Duke; he can write!

Wow, that is very well-written and thought provoking.

I'm likely behind the times, but he raised some issues I wasn't aware of (e.g. LOI terms). Great essay. If I'm in the legislature, and this is a bill, I co-sponsor.

One quote toward the end I loved:

"One day, I aspire to be a college basketball coach."

So proud of him. (And loved seeing a smiling Andre in the photo with the article).

Well, I think we now know who's going to fill the coaching staff vacancy if/when Capel (or Scheyer or James) decides to leave.

Bravo. All of his ideas are spot-on IMHO (where the 'H' is silent -- not coincidentally, the same things I've been saying for a decade).

Glad to hear Nolan repeat these (as well as Coach K's "let's keep the ball rolling" in the post-game presser for the NC game), but these aren't new ideas. It does just go to show that a fair share of the revenue stream isn't the only thing being held back from student athletes. They are very much under the thumb of the university in ways that other students simply are not, and for reasons that don't make much sense if the universities want what is best for the individuals coming through.
