From today's NY Post re the Knicks' choices (also discusses Towns as a big man choice)

"So why Okafor?

“He’s really good now. Young, but he has it all. One thing he might lack is lateral quickness,” said one scout. “But he’s tough, he can score inside, he can take you out a little bit. He’s a good kid, works hard. I think he’s a major star when the time comes. A year with Mike Krzyzewski helps. He’s pro ready.” "

Let's just hope the NBA lottery takes an interesting bounce and Jah can stay out of NY! That Knicks organization has been a hot mess for years.

Bite your tongue, Elvis!!!!!!!!! We were one Roy Hibbert block from the Eastern Conference finals 2 years ago. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g5rxmhZxUQo) Who care that everyone from that team has been shipped and we basically got nothing in return. We've got Melo and his investing acumen vis-a-vis tech start-ups! (http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/11904296/new-york-knicks-forward-carmelo-anthony-wants-bulletproof-reputation) We've got best-of-breed blues bands! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-gpW2T3gIbY) Don't deprive Jahlil of that bright future! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu88RzPdAto)

New York is still New York, and there are advantages of being in a big market with lots of exposure and marketing opportunities. Jah seems like a quiet guy so I don't know if that really fits his personality, but it's still a great opportunity. Plus they've got Phil Jackson (at least on paper) and free agents will want to come when the salary cap go up. Cleveland was a hot mess when Kyrie got there and look at it now.

And you've also got Jimmy Dolan calling the shots. As long as he's in the picture, the Knicks won't be.
