NF throwing the ball away a lot so far. Robert Morris attacking the rim. Interesting game so far. I think RM is scarier, but I need to see more before I completely make up my mind.

10 turnovers already for NF.

They can shoot the three, though.

NF is supposed to be the strongest 16, according to metrics--at 128 in Kenpom almost 50 spots above RM. But they do seem bollixed right now--except for Beau Beech, who is shooting lights out. He scares me a bit.

Well they have just 3 offensive rebounds against a very small RoMo team. So I would say only 3pt shooting is the real concern.

Looks like Beech is an up and down shooter. There are games he shoots over 50% and games he is 0fer - averages about 37%.

The North Florida Ospreys have specialized warm-ups from Nike with the slogan "Birds of Trey". These guys are a 16 seed?

Whenever the gap is bridged between 16 and 1 seeds, money will have something to do with it.

Beau Beech cannot be stopped. We'll need to foul as soon as they cross half court; better to give up 1 or 2 rather than auto 3.

N Florida can shoot, but Robert Morris figured out to man them up.

Will be interesting to see what happens. I think Duke would have more trouble with N Florida but likely would beat either team.

Beau Beech cannot be stopped.

Yes, he can. "Justice, your only job tonight is to stop that guy. Jah and Quinn will pick up the scoring. You just get in that dude's head."

The defense in this game is atrocious. Neither of these teams will have a chance at slowing down Okafor with the lineups in there right now.

How long will Mercer and Lehigh be in Duke fans' heads? Will it take a run like the 80s and early 90s to erase those memories? I try not to make predictions on margin of victory but Duke wins by 25+. This year's team has a level that was not there last year and they are angry and you will see 40 minutes of hard nosed basketball Friday night.

Not sayin I am worried but after Lehigh and VCU and mercer no one - NO One - should be taken lightly. Noooooo onnnne. I like that we got to watch that game - woulda been nice to see CJ McCollum a few yrs back. We woulda known what was coming. Not sure that woulda helped our team stop him but seeing stat and seeing live play are difft. I wanted romo to win based on stats pre-game but after watching I would have preferred to play unf. Unf seemed to only have the 3 ball and a little rebounding. We are more fearful of a nasty quick guard and the guards for romo appeard quicker. Still, we should win

For me, it only took a run to the final 8 and losing to the eventual and deserving champ to get CJ McCollum out of there. Or so I though. Then last year happened. I think we need three solid tourney results (2-3 wins or better) strung together for me to move past the combo of Lehigh and Mercer.

Robert Morris lost 103 - 59 to UNC.

While that may be true, you have to consider that Robert Morris recently beat St. Francis by 3, St. Francis previously beat Florida Atlantic by 5, Florida Atlantic won against Eastern Kentucky by 3, Eastern Kentucky won at Miami by 28, and Miami beat Duke at Cameron by 16... which makes Robert Morris a 55 point favorite against Duke.

Given that, we know that Duke, of course, previously beat UNC by only 7, which means that, at best, we lose by 4 to Robert Morris. However, once you realize that Clemson won at home against Robert Morris earlier this year by 7, and Clemson lost to Duke by 22, it becomes obvious that Duke will have no choice but to beat themselves.

And we only have 8 scholarship players to do it with.

We're hosed.
