What? And who?

From Wikipedia:

Jayson Williams (born February 22, 1968) is an American former professional basketball player. He played for the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Nets of the National Basketball Association. In 2010, Williams pled guilty to assault in the accidental shooting death of a limousine driver. He served an 18-month prison sentence and was released in April 2012.

I can only assume that he is making a comeback and is friends with Gordon Ramsay. Or Satan.

P.S. Mods: don't fix the spelling in the thread title. Lessons should be learned the hard way.

Look, it is a pretty wild spelling error but Jason did explicitly start going by Jay to avoid being confused with the other Williams so an accidental "y" in Jason isn't the most unforgivable name-spelling mistake as far as Duke players go.

Sorry, no. This is the most egregious spelling error of a name for purposes of DBR. What makes it egregious is an event outside of the control of anyone connected to Duke, but if Jay Williams felt he had to adjust to it, so should we.

Look, we can kid around at the expense of someone who writes "Sheldon" or "Reddick," and "Justice" should just be forgiven altogether because of autocorrect. But "Jayson Williams" is a specific person of infamy who did not play for Duke or Florida. We should hold ourselves to a higher standard when starting threads, even pointless ones with minimal content and even less context.

But then, I haven't started a thread in a year. Don't need to; the rest of DBR has it covered.

I imagine a mod can change the title, so we can talk about the topic and not a typo.

I missed the segment, I would like to know what his involvement was.

Jay was on for only a moment as a diner in the Hell's Kitchen restaurant. He looked very pretty.

Did Jay share his recipe for Turtle Soup? Gordon Ramsey should learn from the best!

Did Jay share his recipe for Turtle Soup?

Only takes about a minute to cook.

That makes for a good thread.
