Who was Man of the Match in Duke's 91-86 overtime win at Virginia Tech?

Big Jah.

People giving this to Okafor apparently forgot the defensive breakdowns in this game. Seriously guys, Okafor kept VT in this game as much as he kept us in it.

Give this one to Quinn.

Do we have to? How about the first guy who plays good defense will get my vote. 45 minutes of game action later and I'm still waiting....

I'm abstaining, because nobody played a good overall floor game from start to finish tonight.

We lose going away without QC.

To Quinn. Ice water in his veins. He was the only one who played decent D (at least in the OT).
Jah was great on O but oy, not so good on D and those FTs. Ugh.
Does the coaches tell Jah to be soft on D to save fouls? Is that it? Is he saving it up for the Tourney? Please?

Seems like VT's game plan was to let Okafor get his and make everyone else beat them. Quinn complied.

I agree, maybe the ankle was a factor, but he was a huge defensive liability.

The three Duke fans in the nose bleeds surrounded by those happy Hokies.
Actually I liked Winslow.

Tough to argue with 30, but Quinn's total was close enough, and he hit 80%of his FTs. Clutch down the stretch. So him.

Another bright spot in the offense was the 3:1 A/T ratio for Quinn and Tyus.

I only vote in these threads when I see the whole game, but I'll make an exception because I tried. With no Richmond players eligible, I went with Matt Jones. Stat line: FG 3/4, 3PT FG 1/2, FT 0/0, REB 1, AST 2, STL 3, BLK 1, TO 0, PF 2, PTS 7.

It would be natural to vote for Okafor when he gets 30 points, but I couldn't do it with the defensive lapses. TGFC -- Thank God for Cook. Somebody mentioned ice water in his veins -- I agree.

Is Quinn Cook playing at an All American level? I think he is, and I personally think he has become the most solid and valuable player on this team. Sure, when Tyus has one of his great games the team falls in line and they all play well. When Jah dominates the paint he puts up big numbers and we play well. However, we can always look to Quinn whenever we need a big bucket, a stop on D, or a smart tough play. I am just so darn proud to have him in a Duke uniform. Congrats to Quinn for becoming the player he is today, its been an honor to watch.

QUINN COOK FOR ALL AMERICA TEAM!!!!!

Quinn has played 209 of 210 minutes in Duke's last five games. Crazy. Obviously, Coach K thinks he's the single guy that they can ill afford to take out of the game in basically any scenario.

Cook's play was greatly important. But, the game WAS in doubt until Jahlil's opposite had fouled out of the game.

The way that VT was shooting, they had to be outscored in order to win this one.
Oakafor provided the best percentage chance of this happening.
