In case anyone wants to track our guys:

Cofield had a pretty good time of 5.14 in the 40. Laken Tomlinson at 5.39. Both unofficial.

Here's some video of Laken with some nice commentary from Eisen about Laken and Duke.

Jamison is not doing himself any favors today. Ran an unofficial 4.57. While not slow, certainly not what he needed to raise his profile. He also only had ten reps on the bench press and a drop in a deep ball drill. He did look good in the gauntlet drill.

Why do they time OL in the 40? I really don't see the point of it.

But I am glad our guys are doing well!!

Best of Luck to all the Devils at the combine!

It's a general measure of athleticism.

At the Combine:

Duke guard Laken Tomlinson on being asked if he’s too smart: "I don’t see how that could be a problem."

I'm not terribly worried about that for Crowder. I'm sure he'll clock a faster time at his pro day. And he did well in the agility drills, which is more critical for him as he projects to be a slot WR in the pros.

My hope is that it scares enough teams away that he is there for the Bears in Round 3 or Round 4. He's a perfect complement to the statues we have out wide (Jeffery and Marshall).

A friend of mine is representing Anthony Boone in a PR capacity and has been at the combine with him. I believe they setup a Reddit AMA last Tuesday (I don't have the link).

I don't typically follow Duke football and only to check if it's recruiting better than Vandy's program :D.

An article from the Denver Broncos website is focused on what Duke did to regain its football mojo. Nice read. It also mentions that there are 4 Duke players at the Combine, and nobody from Carolina.

Anthony Boone is doing a Q&A on Deadspin this afternoon, breaking down his tape from the 2013 Texas A&M game, 2014 Pittsburgh game, and a highlight video. I haven't read the entire comment thread, but Boone has been thoughtful and revealing in his answers thus far. I haven't seen something this in-depth from a pro prospect before; who knows if it means anything for Boone's draft chances (I think most anyone would admit he's unlikely to be drafted) but hopefully it does well for him, and it's yet another positive sign for Duke Football that I never would have imagined 5+ years ago.

If you have FoxSports, Jamison Crowder is on The Panel right now. Replays available in next few days.

Well, Mr. Conner Vernon showed up to give it another try at Duke Pro Day. He ran a 4.41 forty -- much better than his 4.68 at the Combine a year ago. (He unaccountably declined to run for time at last year's Duke Pro Day.)

Here's a nice profile of Laken Tomlinson from the Minnesota Vikings website: http://www.vikings.com/news/article-1/Prospect-Profiles-G-Laken-Tomlinson/0ae495fc-438f-4a9c-8e8d-d28175bffddd

And a nice (albeit short) Tomlinson highlight film from the same site: http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/videos/Laken-Tomlinson-College-Highlights/73e1194f-f360-4b84-8c40-06c7622b0efc
