Loved the Crazies last night, but as always it's hard to make out some of the chants and signs and whatnot watching on TV. Anyone who was in the building care to share some of their favorites?

I only noticed one, something to do about a "left shark" but the Crazies were way over my head with that one. lol... I keep waiting for some smart person to clue me in. :) (I imagine it will be one of those "duh" moments)

Katy Perry's stagemate at the Super Bowl I think? (No idea about the connection though...)

This collage is from Duke Blue Planet's Instagram (hopefully it loads as I'm doing this from my phone). I love these posters... Very clever and very positive for our guys.

Not much in the way of chants that I caught last night. It wouldn't surprise me to learn that K asked the students to keep it tame. I didn't even hear a richly deserved Go to Hell!, Carolina, Go to Hell! cheer.

Lots of posters and cheers before tip off that those at home unfortunately had to miss...

-Definitely some "GTHCGTH" and "go to class Carolina go to class" chants during warm ups

-Soon after the main doors opened most of the student section was close to filling up and there was a loud roar from students and lots of pointing. Looked upstairs and saw a guy holding up a well-designed sign saying "Here on our honeymoon. Til Duke do us part". New wife jumping up and down beside him, pretty great. Saw them upstairs after the game still taking pics long after many ppl had left.

-When unc entered the first time for really early warm ups, one undergrad held up a sign that looked to be from Kennedy Meeks instagram. He was shirtless and lying in bed with a girl whose face had been covered up by a pic of Slim Fast. Had his original message from the pic, "love my baby girl" with some emojis. Guys from unc saw and got a pretty good laugh. Kennedy Meeks looked a little stunned.

-Sign of the dean dome with "the Derek zoo lander center for kids who can't read good and want to learn to do other stuff good too" written on top.

-"Winslow cooker" with pic of justise over three unc guys in a pot

Some others can be seen here.

During "Fight Blue Devils Fight" towards the end of the game ESPN actually kept the mic on the crowd as they all chorused "Carolina, go to Hell! Eat you know what!!!" I was watching with an aunt who hadn't been to Cameron in a long time and said "Oh, that's what they say there!!!"

So we definitely heard it.

- The sign in question read "UNC Struggles More Than Left Shark" and had a picture of the shark from the halftime show. It was pretty funny, though I suppose you had to get the reference.

- A couple "And Justise For All" signs, one of which had his face photoshopped onto the statue of liberty

- Numerous references to Cook and food. Pictures of cookies, fans wearing aprons that said things that I couldn't read.

- Someone had a sign that said "Hubert, I have a story to tell" but I couldn't see the rest of it.

- For the most part there wasn't a lot that referenced the academic scandal. Not sure if they had been confiscated or discouraged or what.

- I was in the grad section and brought a couple signs that never got shown on the stadium cam. One read "A Mind Is A Tar Heel Thing To Waste" (an homage to the infamous sign against Maryland that used "Terrapin" in place of "Tar Heel"). The other was a picture of a roll of toilet paper with UNC diplomas printed on it. I held my signs up every time the camera panned our section (which wasn't very often) and every time I swear the camera guy stopped as soon as he saw my sign. Could have just been my own paranoia.

- Bringing in signs was made difficult by the fact that we had about an hour of really heavy snow during the period leading up to the game, so everyone's stuff got soaked.

- A ton of the undergrads were painted up. Mad props to them; they spent literally hours standing outside in freezing temperatures and had to strip down and get painted well before actually entering the building. Man, I miss being 20.

- The crowd was honestly a little disappointing in the first half; they were loud when we played well but when the team needed a boost the energy was lacking. Crazy Towel Guy tried to exhort the student section numerous times but the response was usually just one of the same old scripted chants. But by the end of the game and through overtime the noise was deafening. Great job giving the team a boost and willing them to a win, and great show for the high profile recruits in attendance.

Here's an article that might shed some light on this sign: http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/2/18/8066071/duke-fan-implies-unc-coach-was-subject-of-notorious-bigs-adultery-rap

That Derek Zoolander one is awesome. I wish there was a way to get the image downloaded, that webservice charges $5-$25 to download the image.

You guys are getting soft. There is no reason why Cameron shouldn't have been chanting "Cheaters. Cheaters. Cheaters" every second that Carolina had the ball. That would make for some good TV!

Of course, it's not like a State fan can complain, apparently the PNC Arena is just as gutless when it comes to calling out Carolina and their cheating ways.

K has asked students to lay off other teams in the past, so I'm with you, it seems like something he'd do to suggest students stay away from that. There was definitely some gtch, before the game at least once, and a couple times during.

This. Is. Awesome.

The problem is that the players were 6-8 when that movie came out.

Jeez...either I'm old or these kids are too young.

Thanks guys! I too was a fan of the Zoolander reference on that sign... don't love the movie, but love that joke, haha.

Also interesting comments about the crowd noise. It's near impossible to judge that from TV, but I thought it sounded a little below typical UNC levels at the beginning of the second half... but obviously you got the sense of how intense it was during the comeback and OT.
