Unfortunately, you have to pay to watch.

Unfortunately it's a pay site (UVA Athletics.) Guess it's GameTracker for me. (You beat me to it, as usual, Wandalee.)

Early in it's 11-4 Royal Blue at the first media TO. UVa took a TO at 8-2. Joanne B. didn't like what she saw with her team.

40-21 at the half. Dominating the boards, shooting almost 50%, holding the 'hoos to 36%.

(9 turnovers vs. 12 for UVa. Not as good as the last game, but still a bit more under control than the average of over 20.)

HT: Virginia 21-40 Duke. Blue Devils playing well at both ends. Hoos 9-25 FG including 0-6 from three. Duke plus 10 on the glass, and only nine turnovers (vs. 12 for the Hoos).

Do we need to root for the cheaters tonight, since FSU is ahead of Duke in the conference?
That will be hard to do and will take a stiff quaff.

Other ACC scores:

HT: Cuse 25-35 Miami
HT: Clemson 21-39 Louisville
Late first half: UNC 25-30 FSU

Not a good night for the home teams.

Never, ever, root for the cheaters! (There isn't enough liquid "courage", if I were so inclined, to make me want them to win.)

Finishing second or third is about the same in the tournament.

Not a lot to dislike.

Wow. I had concerns about this game. Have to like how this team is coming together and playing. Good job ladies!

But we'll concentrate on those, anyway.

Azura with another double-double, 10-14, Becca with 22 points (4 treys), 5 boards.

Overall, the team out-rebounded UVa by 17, and had 16 steals. About the only two negatives were 19 turnovers, and Jenna didn't score.

This team could have folded its tent a while ago with all the loss of players - but they keep battling. Pretty impressive effort by this group.

FSU appears to be in the process of giving away a game they should win. Down three with about 50 seconds to go. Gray has 16 and nine in the second half for Carolina.

And FSU turns it over and has to foul.

Second that. Admittedly winning helps, but watching them during the games in Cameron, the team seems to be having a lot of fun. Perhaps the adversity of losing two players to injury (and one to transfer) has made them closer, but sitting across the bench (in section 15) I haven't seen the same attitude on the bench in a long while.

Obviously, it reminds me of the team from a while back (OK, 2001-02 is more than a little while back!) that was down to eight as well, after the double transfer of Craig and White. Of course, having Beard and Currie on that team overcame a lot of problems.

Congrats to Becca for breaking Abby Waner's record of threes made by a freshman. (53 to Abby's 50)

We suck. Can't believe Dawn Staley is coaching at USCjr instead of at her alma mater. Ugh! Congrats on the blowout win btw :)
