Duke still No. 4 in the latest AP basketball poll ... No. 2 in the coaches poll:

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/rankings

Louisville No. 5 in both polls. Virginia No. 7 in AP and No. 6 in Coaches.

UNC drops to 12 in both polls

Miami No. 15 in both polls.

Syracuse No. 31 in the AP ... No. 33 in the coaches.

NC State No. 36 in AP and No. 37 in Coaches

Notre Dame gets a few botes in both polls

Also, congrats to Jahlil Okafor, named ACC rookie of the week for the third straight week. He's 3-for-3.

Widest poll discrepancy in history?

Whoops, good catch. In my haste to beat Jim Sumner to the post, I goofed. NC State is 36 in the AP poll.

The top 4 teams are the same in each poll, with Duke and Wisconsin switching positions. We are the only team in the top 4 that did not receive a first place vote in either poll. A win on Wisconsin's floor would definitely help our tourney profile in March. It will be a very difficult win to pull off; I am guessing we will be a 3 to 5 point underdog.

I wonder what the largest discrepancy would actually be?

Dance 10, looks 3.

Oh wait, that's something different.

Never mind.
