Who was Man of the Match in Duke's 81-71 win over Michigan State?

I'd vote for Tyus, although Cook was the gift that kept on giving.

I'm going to pull for Amile. We need his strength on rebounds. Work in progress sure but he's going to be a crucial piece of the puzzle.

Tyus not only played well, he was really clutch down the stretch.

He handled the ball very well, made a key steal, hit his shots, hit his FTs, and displayed great poise. This is the type of PG play that wins big games.

I only watched the last 15 minutes of the 2nd half but if I had two votes, both would go to Tyus Jones.

Tyus with an efficient 17 points on 5 shots. Quinn, Okafor, and Winston were all great as well.

Quinn - and I'm shocked.

Quinn - and I'm shocked.

Don't be. Quinn has an incredibly high ceiling. He was our best player against mighty Mercer. I still think that ankle was bothering him in the second half of last year.

Quinn has long been a favorite player of mine for his passion and his English on the glass. I went with Tyus as MOM though, as he earned so many of his points from the line.

Support (http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/100787/guard-forward-justise-winslow-does-it-all) for his case. Very much worth reading.

I was torn between the two Jones, and Okafor too. Winslow wasn't as efficient but was crucial.

So went with seniority as the tie breaker. :)

Tyus Jones earned my vote with his fantastic 2nd half performance. Quinn Cook and Justise Winslow are honorable mentions. Great point guard play is crucial to winning big games/championships so anytime it is close, Tyus is going to get the nod from me. He can be the difference between Duke being very good and Duke being a champion this season.

It can't be Okafor, the dude shot 5% UNDER his career fg% last night.

Of course, he may have been distracted by trying to figure out the level of aggression permitted in the post. I hope he didn't stick around to watch the next game or he might really become confused. Three offensive fouls that could have been no calls changed what certainly would have been a MOTM night for Jah.

i felt that great feeling when we have to pick a first single on a band's record and there's an argument.... :)

i tried to click on Tyus and Quinn together, but it wouldn't let me...

love that they all had important roles.......

Tyus. Was there when we needed him.

This. I wanted to see the value that Tyus brought to the team that didn't replicate Cook's value. I saw it last night.

The dude can't weigh more than 175 (I know he's listed at 190, but you get my drift) but he is fearless. Also, his drives are shockingly effective.

I've been torn up by Jones' for years. I understand....

Tyus played a key role in an important stretch of the game, and he stepped up bigtime when we needed him......

Having said that, I voted for Quinn. Quinn did it right the whole game.

Pls include Sean Kelly and Nick Pagliuca on these polls. When there isn't a standout -- when the whole team plays really well (or really poorly), I like to pick from the bench who are part of the program's success. Case in point, last night.

Standard Operating Procedure is to include each player who saw action in the game. Kelly and Pagliuca did not play against Michigan State.

...where is the SOP?

The SOP is a part of community collective wisdom. In order to be considered for MOTM, a player must have actually played in the game.

I've always found it hard to keep up with the Joneses

Great line but plagiarized from you-know-who recently ;).

"How long have you been waiting to use that one?"
