Man, Bama is small. Looking at the box score from their season-opening win over Florida A&M, their biggest starter is 6-2, and their starting guards are 5-7 and 5-3.

If we have even one possession in half-court offense where the ball doesn't go into the low post at least once, the PG on the floor at the time should be taken out in the hall and flogged. Exploiting our size is going to be the key to our success this year, and we might as well start exploiting it in game one.

Starting lineup: Johnson, Greenwell, Calhoun, Henson, Williams.

Henson has Duke's first two baskets on a layup and a jump hook.

At the under-eight media timeout, Bama has more points in the second half than in the entire first half. Duke's defense has switched off a little.

EWill has 17 and 12.

Duke leads 73-32.

Williams looked great. Explosive.

Watching a competitive game on SEC Network is going to be terrible.

Frush in the book, 1-for-2 from the line--and a rebound!

Belton and Mathias in for the last two minutes. Belton in the book with 2-for-4 from the line.

Mathias in the book with a rebound.

Final score 90-40. Only three things to complain about: 21 turnovers, 21 PF, 3-for-12 from three.

EWill, Becca, and Azura with double-doubles. Chidom 17, with three rebounds and five assists.

Held Bama to 25 percent from the floor. 55-22 on the glass.

Not super-impressive, but not throwing it back.

Did Williams look leaner and faster than last year, or am I misremembering?

I saw only first half. Lots of good passing to cutters. Strong inside play, rebounding.

Williams is apparently finally truly healthy; she looked very active, confident.

Worry that ball-handling will be a problem against stronger competition.
