As mentioned before, BB season is STILL too far away. So in the meantime, we entertain ourselves with meaningless threads. So here's another one.

Name five of your favorite singers/groups.

Here's mine -- although the limit of 5 causes my angst.

Bonnie Raitt
Beatles
James Taylor
Elton John
Neville Brothers

OY, so many more. Can't wait to see responses.

I don't think I have a 5th place holder here...

Can I also mention that I really dislike Bob Dylan? I just can't stand his voice.

5 is way too few, after the top 3 the list changes weekly.

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
U2
The Beatles
Rush
The Ocean Blue - just had to put in one wildcard that nobody else will mention.

1. Van Morrisson

2. Josh Ritter (based on his list, I strongly urge Jim Sumner to check Ritter out. Ritter is a youngish Oberlin grad who writes like Dylan but is a better singer (not that i have a problem listening to Dylan - he is certainly would make my top 15)

3. Patty Griffin

4. Paul Simon / Simon & Garfunkel

5. Neil Young

Also receiving votes (in no specific order): U2, Dylan, Tom Waits, Joan Armatrading, Ricki Lee Jones, Grateful Dead, Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder.....

I am sure i am forgetting others, but the CD collection is at home....

Five is too few.... but I was trying to limit the responses... obviously not the best idea. All responses have been favorites of mine -- even those I didn't list in MY FIVE.
