Grant Hill makes the list of top ten wealthiest NBA players.

Two other ACC players on there, Tim Duncan and some guy who played for UNC.

I saw that the other day. According to Grant's basketball-reference dot come page (http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hillgr01.html) (scroll to the bottom), he made $142 million during his career. Over $90 million of that was from his 7 years in Orlando.

He could have added anout $40-$50 million to his totals had he stayed healthy and been able to sign a second massive contract.

Grant did very well and I am sure has invested wisely-so unlike some of his contemporaries - he still has a lot of money.

I'll make the obvious trite observation: With all the sad stories of professional athletes blowing it financially, it's great to see that some make smart business/investment decisions for themselves and their families. With all the money being made in the NBA by so many people in so many different roles, I'm cheered when players take a good share and even more cheered when they make good long term decisions with that share. I couldn't care less if Steve Ballmer, a hedge fund consortium, or Mark Cuban gets richer doing whatever they do in the game, but the players... yeah.
