Nets are playing hardball in working out a sign and trade for Pierce, demanding a 1st rounder or JJ.

Clippers would be nuts to do this. Redick is a very solid piece and in his prime, while Pierce is clearly on the downside, perhaps significantly so. And he makes a lot more $. And he may have a lot of difficulty being a 3rd or 4th banana on the team. Oh, and the Clippers may already be losing their other key 2-guard, that being Sixth man of the Year Jamal Crawford.
