Seen on a T-shirt of a Kentucky fan during the SEC championship game.

That was 22 years ago. Before most current Duke undergraduates were born. Brightened my day just a little.

When I wear my Duke hoodie here in Louisville, if someone says anything, it is ALWAYS, about Laettner. The last time was at the reproductive health clinic where I volunteer as an escort. The pro-lifers didn't use their usual "baby-killer" insults but rather cursed me for loving Laettner.

Yeah, it's that deep with these folks here.

I agree . That's pretty much the only player that gets mentioned. I say it was so long ago get over it already. They should get some counseling. He's one of my favorites of all time. I just laugh. It's so crazy.

Good god man, you wear a Duke sweatshirt when you volunteer as an escort at a reproductive health clinic in the state of Kentucky? That's just, I mean, how do you, uh...

There were hundreds of these in New Orleans at the Final Four 2 year ago. (My rough observation was that the wearers of said shirts had four teeth on average.)

Hey, the toothbrush was invented in Kentucky. If it had been born anywhere else, it'd be called a teethbrush.
