Durham, N.C. — A Duke University senior from Cary died Friday in a car crash on Interstate 10 in northern Florida, according to a university spokesperson.
The university said Rebecca DeNardis and six other students were traveling in a van with the director of Duke's Outdoor Adventure program when it was struck by another vehicle.
DeNardis was pronounced dead at the hospital.
What a tragedy.
