You assume we will beat Clemson, the only team left who we haven't beaten all year. Clemson is going to give us a LOT of trouble. We will be fortunate to pull out a win. I am not confident we can beat the Tigers.

I understand technically that "we haven't beaten [Clemson] all year," but it was one game. Ever hear of sample size? Do you think Syracuse can't beat Georgia Tech? They've lost to them every time they've played them this year.


Hopefully the "good" Duke team shows up tonight, not the one that lost against WF, ND, Clemson, & Vermont (yes, technically we beat Vermont, but that game really should be counted as a loss)

According to Pomeroy, Vermont is the 69th best team in the country, better than almost half the ACC (better than 7 out of 15 teams), and not much worse than Clemson (#53 in Pomeroy). So please explain to me why the Vermont game should count as a loss?

It's amazing how bad the officiating has been in the second half of this game. In all aspects.

No offense to my buddy Jay, but unc benefitted mightily with that press from ref's swallowing their whistles. Pitt did had some legit turnovers, but I counted at least 3 steals or Pitt walking violations where the Pitt kid got hammered with no call. Unc hit a 3 after two of those plays and a 2 after another one.

Pitt missed a ton of free throws too so had they lost it would have mainly been on them, but wow some of those plays were obvious.

Fair point. Like certain UNC academic departments, I may be giving their students too much credit. I figured they at least saw the movie if they couldn't read the book.

Don't agree at all. They've beaten two very bad teams in the tournament and everyone falls in love again. They've swept UCONN, SMU, split with Cincy and got swept by Memphis. Good resume but nothing special.

L'ville got lucky with Memphis falling to Uconn and Houston taking down SMU. Now all that is left is for cincy to lose before the finals.

We play an opposite style defense than Virginia. They do not contest passes on the perimeter, while we try to cut off passing lanes and jump the ball.
