Iowa St loses to Baylor. I think that locks Baylor into a tourny bid.

Georgetown smacks Creighton. That helps the Hoyas slim chances...

Syracuse loses to Ga Tech (minus Grant)

Unreal!! Causes some serious changes in the seeding of the top 16, all 3 that lost were 2's or 3's IMO, now dropping, especially the 'Cuse. Beat Wake and unc and Duke's a rock solid top 2-seed or last 1-seed. And can move up.

Interesting that if Duke takes care of business this week we could wind up as number 2 in the ACC regular season. That didn't look possible just a week ago. The loss of Grant has been a major setback for Syracuse. Can he come back? That is an unknown and even if he does, will he be effective?

We need to concentrate on Wake on the road. No games will be easy at this point.

It sounds like Grant is "day-to-day". I'd expect him back by the ACC tourney, if not this weekend.

Still, the recent losses have completely changed the seeding picture, both in the ACC and NCAA.

The loss of Grant obviously hurts, but I think Syracuse also dropped that horseshoe they were relying on to win at some point after the State game. Looking back, Syracuse probably should have had 2-3 (maybe more) losses going into that BC game. The way they were winning games to get to 25-0 simply wasn't sustainable, and now it seems to be catching up with them.

Syracuse's pants-crapping has reached Bobby Hurley 1990 Final Four levels. Anyone who reads the Cuse equivalent of IC, what's the timbre now?

Even Jerry Palm acknowledges Syracuse is slipping.

After the home loss to Georgia Tech tonight, Palm has dropped the Cuse from #1 in the East all the way to ...... #2 in the East. Villanova now #1 for Palm in the East.

Duke still #3 in the West and UVA #3 in the Midwest for Palm. Presumably the selection committee is not wearing the same orange colored glasses Mr. Palm is.

Pomeroy has Syracuse down to #14 after this latest loss.
