After Creighton went 5/21 from the 3 point line in their loss to St. Johns today, Duke is now the #1 3 point shooting percentage leader.

Duke = 0.42029
Cleveland State = 0.41991
Creighton = 0.41869

Not quite yet. Utah St is #1 at 42.1% and Duke is #2 at 42.0%. But Duke shoots waaaay more 3s than Utah St.

I would agree that we have the best, most consistent, 3-pt attack in the country this season, better than Creighton, who is excellent as well.

Not that it is a big deal either way, but according to the ESPN stats Utah State percentage is only 0.416 (0.4158). [163/392 for 23 games]

Hey DoubleDuke Dad,

I think I found the discrepancy between what you posted and what I posted.

I got my numbers from Pomeroy, who is counting a game Utah St played against NAIA team San Diego Christian.

If we don't count that game, then Duke is indeed #1 as you stated!

I think Duke is number 1 regardless. I see Duke running the table in the ACC. As much as I love Syracuse games left @ Pitt @ Duke and @Virginia is back loaded heavy. Virginia by far has the easiest ACC schedule out of UNC/Syracuse and Duke. Realistically, Syracuse could have three losses which could be a tie with Duke. Virginia can beat Syracuse at home, if that happens, VA is the ACC champion.

Who will stop VA except Syracuse? No one. That schedule they have left is HORRIBLE.

Oops! The above in BOLD is what I should've typed. (Utah St shot below their season avg against San Diego Christian).

Not so quick, the ACC Champion will be determined in Greensboro on March 16. Whoever wins the ACCT is the champion.

UNC is tied for 281 out of 351 in three point shooting percentage.

However, this looks good compared to their free throw shooting percentage where they are 344 out of 351!
