Sheesh this seems to be the year of the broken hand. Just off the top of my head, Anthony Davis, Trey Burke, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Larry Sanders, Kawhi Leonard, JJ Redick, Patrick Beverley, and Paul Pierce have all broken parts of their hands this season. I don't recall a season where even 2 or 3 of these things happened to major players before.

Michigan St F Dawson breaks hand in film session

This is what happens when they let 'em play. I saw a clear flagrant 2 on the table/wall...

Gotta think the embarrassment here is almost as painful as the injury. Except for the fact that this was apparently in anger rather than celebration, it sort of reminds me of Bill Gramatica tearing his ACL in a post-field goal celebration or Gus Frerotte hurting his neck by headbutting the wall after scoring for the Redskins.

On the other hand, Dawson obviously wants to play better if he was so angry watching his own play in a film session that he broke his hand--so if he can bring that kind of ferocity to his rehab, maybe it will go well.
