Northwestern beats Indiana on the road, 54-47. Last stretch of the game was a ton of foul shots, almost all of which Northwestern hit.

He couldn't have taught Marshall to shoot freethrows before he left?

That's two big conference wins for the Wildcats, so far. Nice to win one on the road!

Northwestern has an interesting KenPom profile - 145 overall (before saturday), but with 21st best D (i.e. 80 spots better than duke; if duke played D this well, we'd be ranked in the top 3 instead of 20th) and 318th (out of 351 teams) best O. Does this say anything about Chris Collins's coaching? Does great D require less talent than great O? I have no idea, but hopefully we'll be including him in the names of the top candidates for the duke job when it opens up in ~30 years!

Tom Crean gave Collins one of the quickest post-game handshakes ever. Maybe I misread it, but it sure looked like he wasn't graceful in defeat.

Par for the course, generally speaking, for Coach Crean

I agree, I have never seen him do more than shake and go.

It's been a few weeks since Chris Collins had a nice win. Northwestern is slumping down the stretch, but they can finish 14-17 (7-11 conference) with wins at home against Penn State and at Purdue, both of which teams are woeful.

But regardless of the finish, Chris Collins has things on track for that program, and Northwestern's expectations have been beaten down over the years, so they'll give him time. His record this year isn't all that different from Coach K's first three years. He's got a strong future ahead of him.
