I just looked at the WatchESPN schedule to make sure I could see the Duke-Wake game on my laptop tomorrow and...all it says is: 12:00PM - Duke vs. Wake Forest. Anyone notice that something is missing. Anyone? Bueller?

Ummm...how about #24 Duke vs. Wake Forest?

Also, if you look at their College FB scoreboard for Saturday's games, Duke does not appear on the front page where they list all of the Top 25 teams in action that day. Even if you click on the drop-down box at the top to filter for only ACC games, it still does not include any numbers in front of our esteemed university's name.

Hosers and Wankers in Bristol, I tell ya! I hope we beat the everliving snot out of Wake Forest and climb a couple more notches in the rankings for next week. Maybe then the powers that be at ESPN will give our guys the respect they deserve.

I believe ESPN uses the BCS rankings.

I refer you to: The official BCS standings. (http://www.bcsfootball.org/)
This is the ranking listed by major sports outlets on their main pages.

If you would like to see Duke with a 25 by its name, check out the AP Poll. (http://collegefootball.ap.org/poll)

For a 24, see either the coaches poll (http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/poll/2/week/13) or the Harris poll. (http://www.harrisinteractive.com/vault/BCS_Nov_17_2013.pdf)

Best way to deal with the situation: beat Wake!

ESPN has switched to using the BCS rankings. If we win vs Wake, we are likely to have that number next to our name for Carolina.

Well, this is certainly the first time we're complaining about something like this on the ol' DBR.

Which becomes downright bizarre when the entire content of the "unranked" Duke vs Wake preview talks about how groundbreaking and different and exciting it is for Duke to be ranked. Having it both ways, ESPN is...
