Halftime score Duke 36-34

Very sloppy first half. A lot of poor shots and turnovers, and stupid fouls and missed assignments/back doors for the shorter Vanderbilt team.

Tricia hit her first shot, then disappeared on offense. Elizabeth only played a couple of minutes, I'm assuming she has a bug. Alexis makes great moves, but isn't finishing at the basket. She's hit a couple of threes, though.

The worst thing in the first half just at the 4 minute TO was that Haley Peters tried to block a three in the corner, fell and crashed into the side court tables. She appeared to hurt her right knee. She was down for a while, needed help walking to the bench (although the last couple of steps were on her own.). She then left with the team trainer and doctor. The trainer returned, but Haley (and the team doctor) did not.

Haley has not returned for the second half.

My bad on Elizabeth, didn't realize she had two quick fouls in the first half. I only remembered one.

Tricia hit two straight threes, but Vandy answered. 48-44 at the 16:00 timeout.

And just as I hit submit, Haley returns. Right leg wrapped up and she's icing it, but no crutches. Looks like it may have just been a knee on knee impact.

And with that, she returns to the game. 53-49 with 14 minutes left.

(The phrase "It's only a flesh wound" comes to mind. Especially when it's Haley we're talking about.)

And an offensive explosion. With 3:35 left, Duke by 21, 84-63. Tricia with five 2nd half threes, good balance on scoring.

Just like the men's games, a lot of tricky-tack fouls in the first half, followed by very few called in the second half.

Chelsea was 2 rebounds away from her 2nd triple-double. She had 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 12 assists. Great game for her and the rest of the team. They played a wonderful 2nd half.

MRI on Peters' right knee tomorrow. Hopefully, just precautionary.
