Quinn was man of the first half, but Rodney was steady through the whole game and found ways to score when others faltered. Hitting all those free throws didn't hurt.

Same three candidates as always: Parker, Hood and Cook.

Cook seemed like the clear choice early on, but Hood was the reason we won.

Hood: 30 points, 12/12 FT. Da man down the stretch.

Jabari: Honorable mention for his two huge blocks (not cinder) on one possession late in the game.

I'm going Jabari as the coast to coast and his two blocks took the wind out of E.Carolina.

If you watch this ESPN highlight, you would swear Parker was the MOTM, hands down: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=400517874

But if you watched the whole game, I think you would have to give it to Hood. Interesting that he wasn't even mentioned, let alone being included in the highlight. Shows you how much the media are into hyping up the freshmen. We know Parker is the best talent on the team, but come on, ESPN, guy had 30 points on 8-10 shooting!! At least mention his name!!

Twelve for 12 from the Free Throw line seals the deal for me. It has to be Rodney Hood with an Honorable Mention to Jabari Parker for the big coast-to-coast when we really needed a defensive stop and a basket.

This is very true, and likely a trend that won't abate until he shakes Adam Silver's hand on stage in late June.
