No opinion but just for discussion. Can we improve our foul shooting percentage more by just practicing these shots more? That is the first and easiest answer that comes to mind? Or for some players is it a matter of technique. Last year Miles seemed to improve a lot over previous years when he seemed to put more of an arc on his foul shot. But then some players seem to to struggle in this arena no matter what, e.g. "Hack-a-Shaq". What is the best way to improve a team's overall foul shooting percentage?

Paint a closer line. Build a bigger hoop. Use a smaller ball.

You mean Mason, right? Miles graduated in 2012.

The short answer is you need both to learn proper technique and practice it. Free throw shooting ability isn't some innate talent you're born with. It's taught and practiced. Whether any player can devote enough time during the season to significantly improve his free throw shooting is quite another question.
