I had heard quite a few people say...I wish there was some way to maintain Charlie Board's ACC Stats archive (http://www.sportsstats.com/bball/). So, I took upon myself to gather quite a bit of data, and have come up with every ACC player since the early 1950's in my database.

This database is now searchable (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/PlayerDatabase.asp) by Team, Season, Player Name, and Hometown.

I also have a ACC Records page (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/ACCRecords.asp) that pulls from the same data, although it is records since 1954.

Here are a few things you could do...

Stats for Duke 1991-92 (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/PlayerDatabase.asp?Team=DU&Season=1992)

Players from Durham that have played in the ACC (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/PlayerDatabase.asp?hometown=durham,%20nc)

PPG leaders for the 1977-78 season (http://www.scacchoops.com/forms/PlayerDatabase.asp?season=1978)

Let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions.

Also, while my database replaces one aspect of Charlie Board's site, it certainly doesn't replace all aspects of it. Just wanted to share my new resource with all.

Thanks, I really enjoyed putting it together. I hope to be able to draw some conclusions from all of this data, but I'll save some of the ideas for my site. So come check out SCACCHoops.com (http://www.scacchoops.com) in the future to see what we do with all of this data.

I agree with Jason. My thanks for all this effort to take up the banner from Mr. Board. I know I'll use it, and I suspect many other fans will as well, when word gets around.

To that end, I'm gonna suggest to J&B that they include your site next to Charlie's on their "General ACC" links list.

Is this still available anywhere?
The links above don't seem to be working anymore.

Yep, have done some link restructuring since the initial post. You can find the ACC Basketball Records page here (http://www.scacchoops.com/acc-basketball-records).

Has it been almost 8 years since I've tried to settle an Internet argument with a trip to Charlie Board's site?

I just noticed that 5 or the top 10 scorers(points) are Duke guys. JJ, Johnny D, Christian, Kyle and G-Man. The cheats have the #1 guy in Hanstravel. The Pack has 2 in Rodney Monroe and DT. The Cavaliers have two in B. Stith and Jeff Lamp. GoDuke!

Thanks for the update!
What about the Charlie Board boxscores, etc? Does that still exist anywhere that can be accessed by the public?
My google search only gives me dead links.
