Dan Otero is a rookie pitcher for the Oakland Athletics. He played at Duke from 2004-2006.
His MLB career before this year consisted of 12 innings for the Giants last year, not enough to remove the Rookie tag.
This year during the regular season he logged 39 innings over 33 games as a middle reliever (1.38 ERA) for the A's. Now in the post-season he's been in two of the three games for 3⅓ innings, allowing only 2 hits and no runs.
